"Margin Of Error" (marginoferror)
12/15/2014 at 10:21 • Filed to: ESSAY | 2 | 37 |
Last week, I published an essay about was was then the most sexiest car ever made, the 1989-1993 Buick Riviera.
Fellow Opponaut and personal friend !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! noticed my keenness for vertical c-pillar and rear window angles, shrewdly posted a picture of a fourth (and last) Oldsmobile Toronado.
Mother of God.
Love at first sight. Screw the Cougars and the 1989-1993 Riviera, That fourth gen Toronado is where it's at.
Please scroll down to admire a selection of pictures I carefully harvested on Bing Images, and have a great week !

No.
Also the Trofeo is just Toronado with a 3800 with a 4T60-E.
You'd have to convert it to RWD to be any fun. The Stick was not available from the factory in a Trofeo.

I had a blue one as a loaner while my 760T was in the shop. 285k miles, burned 2 quarts per gas tank, interior had been destroyed by something like a bobcat, none of the fancy electronics worked, but it still looked good.

We all have different tastes in cars, and that's the beauty of this community. I don't understand why such a pilgarlicky comment. You don't like it fine, no need to be rude.

I've always thought they were good looking cars, for sure. They weren't really fun, but they looked good.
What about the Reatta?

To be fair you did say "then the most sexiest car ever made" ….. That is a very big claim.

It was an Olds concept car, obviously intended to emanate the GNX. I've seen it in person at the Oldsmobile Museum, and it's definitely menacing! The pictures don't really do it much justice... :/

If you like this car, just pick up a 78-88 Cutlass supreme and make it so.
it's a MUCH better starting point than any of the W-body FWD cars from 89- on.

The super rare factory suede interior is the only one worth buying. Since these are probably in the single digits, well, you work that out.
Also, and I mean this in the least offensive way possible, but what is wrong with your taste in cars?

More specifically the Trofeo. I was brought home in the hospital in a red '92. My parents still miss that car.
